Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
The speed of computer data processing gives the ability to develop new ideas and novel approaches and to ask the sort of complex questions that would probably not be otherwise possible. However, with current available hardware and software there is still a problem in integrating written and graphical information. There are two ways to approach this problem, either by closer integration of software and developing graphical databases or by using a Geographical Information System, although it is not clear whether the latter would offer all the necessary facilities.
