Concerns methods of modifying this Computer Aided Design program to add an archaeological facility, using its inbuilt features and thus retaining standard functions. This can be done by modifying the menus or creating new level point or grid point commands within AutoCAD, using the AutoLISP language. A list of programs and menus to improve AutoCAD's archaeological functionality can be obtained from the author. IH
