Abstract:		 This report describes the investigations carried out up to August 1989 on a large and well-preserved Iron Age and Romano-British site. Topsoil stripping exposed extensive later Iron Age settlement remains, including waterlogged deposits with a considerable potential for environmental information. Initial examination of the complex of earthworks representing the Romano-British settlement area revealed a remarkable level of preservation. Structural remains included round houses dating to the third and fourth centuries AD. There was also some evidence for post-Roman activity.
