Abstract:		 Report on work comprising geophysical survey, watching briefs, evaluation trenching and excavation at Abbey Nurseries, Rhuddlan, in advance of and during development within an area of archaeological significance, close to the Castle and overlying the projected line of the Norman borough defences. The aim of the work was to monitor importation of soil and to ensure that the development did not exceed the specified depth; any features identified during the development were to be recorded.
