Abstract:
Archaeological fieldwalking and excavation were undertaken at Island Hill, Co Down, in 2003. A small assemblage of worked flint and a polished stone axe were recovered during the fieldwalking, whilst a number of undated features and a truncated series of deposits, analogous with the post-Glacial and early prehistoric sequence known from the adjacent site at Rough Island, were recorded during the excavation.
