Abstract:
[SO 2098]. Reassessment of the 1927-9 excavation, with added information from aerial photography and geophysical survey, allows correction of previously published plans, and some revision of the occupation sequence. The outer bank is assigned to a first-phase (Flavian) fort of 5ha, reduced to 3ha in early 2nd century. Numerous and complex extra-mural features include an ?enclosed farmstead and a possible bath house. DG
