Reports the excavation of a previously unrecorded prehistoric burnt mound at Rodway. The mound was 15m in diameter, and despite having been partially truncated by weathering and recent agricultural activity, some burnt material survived above the natural subsoil. A pit, interpreted as a water trough, was located on the northern side of the mound. A radiocarbon date in the thirteenth century BC was obtained from a sample of burnt material. | ||||||||||||
