Abstract:
Reports that the boundaries of the hospital were confirmed by an earthwork survey, geophysics and trial trenching. Excavation established the limits of a cemetery but suggested that the hospital buildings lay beneath Launceston Sewage Works. A longbone from an inhumation provided a radiocarbon date of 1040--1280 cal. AD. The site was subject to a Time Team investigation. Includes:
