Considers arguments for and against accepting Thom's hypotheses on megalithic astronomy. Large numbers of positive indications are more impressive than a few 'good' sites. However, 'bright star' alignments fail to convince, because over a period of say 500 years the possible positions for first magnitude stars alone would provide 'explanations' for over a third of all examined sites. |
