Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
The paper looks briefly at early sites and churches in the wider landscape. It then outlines church morphology in Carmarthenshire, its regional variations, and the relationship between form and function. Dating evidence is assessed, and it is argued that much of the surviving historic fabric is medieval or post-medieval in date. Finally, the author looks at the continuing tradition in the light of seventeenth- and eighteenth-century developments. | ||||||||
