Abstract:
The replica of the Skuldelev-1 ship (16.5m cargo vessel, perhaps 24 tons) has circumnavigated the globe, while the Skuldelev-3 replica (14m coastal carrier of elegant design, 5 tons) is more fully described, with preliminary assessment of results and observations on the building process. At Hedeby a 38-tonner has recently been found.
