Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Considers progress of research into the bog body known as Lindow III (found February 1987), Lindow Man (`Pete Marsh', found August 1984), and the other finds from the site. The various body parts are now thought to represent two individuals, both young adult males -- the head of so-called `Lindow Woman' (Lindow I) is actually that of Lindow III -- who died violently in the first or second century AD. The Lindow Moss finds are considered in relation to other bog bodies from Britain and elsewhere in Europe. | |
