The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Excavation of the interior of the building took place in advance of renovation work on the seventeenth century property. Despite severe truncation of the floor levels, features of twelfth to thirteenth century date were located, including a well, a pit, and a possible early boundary ditch. Post medieval features excavated included a well and some post holes or pits. In addition to the excavations, a survey was carried out of the standing fabric of he building including a timber box-framed bay end. There is a section on `The finds' by L N Mepham (139--41) as well as details of the slag, metalwork, fired clay and ceramic building material. Environmental remains include `Plant macrofossils' by J Ede (143).
