Abstract:
Scatters of worked flints, some Meso, and RB and medieval pottery were found. Fifehead Magdalen was shown to be a two-centred village with earthworks and sherds at the sites of two manors. The history of the settlement's ownership, cultivation, and population is detailed from the 11th century; population fluctuated from the 16th centurv and finally declined after 1821. F B
