Abstract The abstract describing the content of the publication or report |
Describes an experimental package of routines in ALGOL 60 which produces outline drawings from two-dimensional coordinates taken from archaeological sections and features; the outlines appear on a graphics tube to allow the addition of shading or other modifications by the use of a light pen. (Shading types give 'moderate realism'.) When the 'drawing' is deemed satisfactory it can be printed off on a digital plotter. The input can if required be produced from field drawings by means of a pencil follower and tape punch. Various types of automatic shading, stippling, textual additions etc are provided and sections can be reversed and joined up as required. | |
