Outlines some highlights from work by the Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Trust within the area of the former county of Brecknockshire over the last eighteen months, including: the implementation of recommendations by the curatorial arm of the Trust in respect of archaeological work required as part of the planning process; a pilot project recording and mapping sites within the landholdings of Forest Enterprise (Wales), aiming to enhance the regional sites and monuments record (SMR); continued field surveys of upland regions; limited work at the site of a possible Roman 'villa' near Llanfrynach; the use of computer technology to demonstrate the extent of historic landscape survival since the creation of the late 16th century Beaufort Atlas; and the development of a new project aimed at improving public access to the SMR.
