Abstract:		 Reports limited trials NW of the fort, and observations elsewhere in the village: miscellaneous RB features appear agrarian in function and may belong to a vicus, but despite Birley's argument for a small Roman town there is no evidence for a town wall. Med features bear no relation to the present plan of the village.
