Abstract: |
Sets out the essential features of geoarchaeologial practice and geomorphological processes and develops new ways of looking at conventional models of landscape change. Explains the basics of geoarchaeology including: what can be expected, what approaches may be taken, what outcomes might be forthcoming, and what we can reasonably expect a micromorphological approach to archaeological contexts, data and problems to tell us. Employs case studies from Britain (Cambridgeshire, East Anglia and Dorset), Europe and the Near East which illustrate how past landscape change can be discovered and deciphered. |
