Abstract: |
Four diverse papers are linked with commentary by Christopher Hawkes. David Ridgway deals with the Greek colonisation of Campania and Etruria (pp 5-38); Johanna Haberl (97-156) uses text-aided archaeology and place-name evidence to illuminate the late Roman resistance to barbarian threats along the Danube. Papers by Dennis Harding and Grace Simpson are separately abstracted (see 74/2435 and 2476). |
