Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of a trial pit and two boreholes dug to assess the need for repairs to the building. An excavation was undertaken nearby in 1992. The north-east wall of the court building is located 15m from the legionary fortress wall and over the intervallum road. No significant archaeological features or deposits were observed. One sherd of 12th century green glaze pottery was recovered from one of the boreholes. [Au(abr)] |
