Abstract: |
A desk-based archaeological assessment for the proposed residential development showed that the area was situated just outside of the medieval village of Donisthorpe. However, the area may have contained archaeological remains relating to early coal working given its location in North West Leicestershire, an area containing nationally important evidence of early coal mining.
