Abstract: |
A second phase of fieldwalking on a site proposed for mineral extraction recovered a small assemblage of lithic material, primarily knapping waste, including occassional implements and retouched pieces, and one retouched flake of possible Mesolithic date. An even distribution of post-medieval and modern assemblages of pottery and ceramic building material was recovered. One concentration of this material at the junction of three field boundaries represented hardcore make-up. [Au] |
