Abstract:		 The assessment revealed no known archaeology within the site boundaries. Archaeological remains dating from the Saxo-Norman period onwards had been found to the south along the south western side of Union Lane, which may have suggested an early date for this route. Comparable features may have been present within the site, though it lay further away from the assumed medieval extent of Chesterton village. [Au]
