Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site, near the site of a manor house which had been demolished in the early 20th century. Earthworks in the area may have represented the remains of a medieval settlement. During the evaluation, a mound located by a walkover survey of the site was found to contain 19th century brick and tile rubble, and was interpreted as a modern dump of building material. It was concluded that the site was unlikely to contain archaeologically significant material. [Au(adp)] |
