Abstract: |
The assessment concluded that previous construction which included the excavation to a depth of 5.0 metres of the base for the existing Dormy Suite had removed archaeological remains which may have existed in the area of the proposed extension. The proposed development would not affect the setting of the Scheduled Monument whose boundary excluded the buildings of the Dormy House Hotel. Scheduled Monument Consent was therefore not required and no further archaeological evaluation was necessary. [Au(abr)] |
