Abstract: |
An evaluation found locally produced pottery from pits and ditches at the site, dating to the 11th and 12th centuries. The earliest in situ activity was shown to be from fairly intense 13th-14th century intercutting pits associated with tenements established along the western side of St. Giles. A humic soil from the 15th century and intercut with pits was above this, with later building activity on top. [Au(adp)] |
