Abstract: |
The assessment concluded that the site potentially contained important Roman and medieval remains which related to the development of the town. Extensive development in the southern part of the site in the 1960s meant that very little survived. However, the northern part of the site was in a more favourable condition and its archaeological potential was deemed to be very high. [AIP] |
