Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during construction of a road at a site where a previous evaluation had revealed slight evidence of medieval agricultural activity. A small number of prehistoric flints, three Roman kiln sites and evidence of medieval settlement had been recorded in the surrounding area. During the watching brief, possible medieval ploughsoil was identified and medieval pottery was recovered. [AIP] |
