Abstract: |
Five evaluation trenches were excavated on a site proposed for a new petrol station.Pottery was recovered from a masking layer which suggested that this layer had been laid down from the Early Iron Age onwards. Early medieval and possibly earlier activity was also identified in the form of a silted up feature, possibly a pond and pottery of early medieval date was recovered from the masking layer which sealed this feature.
