Abstract: |
No archaeological sites were recorded for the study area, although nine were identified within a 500 metre radius, one of which was dated to earlier than 1500 AD, namely the site of Worthy Farm, documented in the Feet of Fines in 1241. The possibility existed for the survival of agricultural remains from the medieval period and also the presence of earlier remains buried beneath depositions of alluvial clay. [AIP] |
