Abstract: |
It became apparent during the watching brief that large scale disturbance of the site had occurred during the occupancy of the site by the garage with the remains of vehicle inspections pits. These had removed much of the physical remains of previous features. However enough evidence was gathered to confirm the presence of ore processing on the site (of iron rather than the recorded copper) and the partial survival of a floor associated with a china clay cellar.
