Abstract: |
An archaeological investigation was undertaken following the exposure of human remains during agricultural improvements. The excavated archaeological remains included an undated crouched inhumation burial and two cremation related deposits situated within a series of inter-cutting pits containing Late Bronze Age and Middle Iron Age pottery and flint, suggesting a similar date for the burial and cremated remains. The pits, which were not excavated but were recorded in plan, may have been a result of chalk quarrying. [Au(adp)] |
