Abstract:
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during soil stripping for a stone quarry extension. No visible archaeological remains/deposits were revealed. However, it is important to note that the topsoil was removed in order to provide an operations surface and not necessarily to produce a clean horizon. This being the case, any small or ephemeral archaeological remains/deposits were unlikely to have been detected. [Au(adp)]
