Abstract: |
The watching brief was maintained on a housing development near the historic core of Wye. Medieval pits were exposed which probably related to properties on adjacent road frontages. Generally the observations suggested that this part of Wye was originally on the periphery of the village, and that the bulk of the site was situated within what was once open fields. [Au] |
