Abstract:
The fieldwork revealed evidence of boundary ditches which were similar in character to the nearby cropmark features. Romano-British pottery was recovered from the investigated ditches. The evidence suggested that AA5 represented a Romano-British field system and that a contemporary occupation site was located in the vicinity of the present site. No features of any period, which might be indicative of occupation, were recorded, however. [Au(abr)]
