Abstract: |
Foundation trenches excavated for a new garage block were inspected, at a site which lay c. 16m west of the bank of the Chichester Entrenchment (SAM County no. 96). This monument formed part of a Late Iron Age system of banks and ditches defiining and defending the Chichester/Fishbourne area. No artefacts were recovered, and no evidence of archaeological features was observed during the inspection. [Au(adp)] |
