Abstract: |
<summary>Proposals for development by the Central Methodist Church led to a trial excavation. One trench was excavated; the bulk of the deposits found were of post-medieval and recent origin. Only one clear event was evident, namely the construction of a timber-framed structure, which probably met its demise in the 17th century. At the time of the investigation the site was occupied by ranges of Victorian buildings located at the rear of the Centenary Chapel. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
