Abstract:
An archaeological evaluation of the proposed route of a new water intake pipeline on Furzey Island was undertaken. Four 1 msq test pits were manually excavated along the route of the pipeline. None revealed any archaeological features or finds and the potential for significant deposits existing within the development area, and which would be affected by the construction of the pipeline, appeared very low.
