Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during the construction of foundations for a new building at 21 High Street. The site was known to have lain within the original precinct of the cathedral. Human bone was recovered from what appeared to be east-west aligned inhumations sealed by demolition-type debris, probably medieval. A chalk-lined pit was also observed. [AIP] |
