Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was maintained during water supply works to the east of Stonehenge. The works comprised the excavation of trenches in three locations to the north of the A303 between Stonehenge and New King Barrows. Features were only recorded in one of the trenches and comprised three undated ditches (representing possible elements of a former field system), and a recent pit containing skeletal remains of at least two sheep.
