Abstract: |
An archaeological excavation was undertaken in advance of construction of a soakaway drain against the southern edge of the existing tarmac playground. The area showed signs of extensive modern landscaping overlying post-medieval and medieval garden soils. Re-excavation of an archaeological evaluation first excavated in 1990 revealed a layer of intact post-dissolution demolition deposits at 1.20m below the existing ground surface. [Au(adp)] |
