Abstract: |
The evaluation comprised the excavation of a total of six trenches, one at the north end of Block A, two on the site of Block B and three on the site of Block C. The trenches, each 20m long, were excavated to the depth of the 'lower gleyed layer', a semi-stabilised horizon of Late Bronze Age date identified during other work in the close proximity. Although the evaluation confirmed the existence of the upper and lower gleyed horizons within the development area, no features of archaeological interest were located. [Au] |
