Abstract: |
The desk-based assessment for the proposed exploratory borehole showed that the site was close to a Roman road and may have contained Roman and medieval deposits. It was possible that the site may have also contained earthworks relating to the historic parish boundary between Redmile and Belvoir. Map evidence indicated that the site had been agricultural land since 1795. This also indicated that the site may contain earthworks relating to the historic parish boundary. The proposed development area therefore had some archaeological potential. [Au(abr)] |
