Abstract: |
Archaeological recording was undertaken at Court House, during the construction of an extension to the rear of the property. A series of undated features were observed within all of the trenches. There appeared to be two parallel linear ditch like features aligned east to west across the site, one of which may have represented a later re-cut. Two further and similar linear ditch like features were observed aligned north to south in the southern foundation trench. Another possible pit like feature was observed in the south-east corner of the site. Although all of the features were undated, their construction may have indicated a sequence of property boundaries associated with an earlier pattern of settlement. [Au(abr)] |
