Abstract: |
A watchig brief was carried out during the excavation of a test pit against the west side of the 13th century undercroft at Upper Bridge Street, Wye. The operation sought to determine whether the insertion of a concrete block underpinning would disturb archaeological deposits or impinge on the walls of the undercroft. No archaeological deposits, features or structural remains associated with the undercroft were noted during the course of the watching brief. Further archaeological investigation was not considered necessary. [Au(adp)] |
