Abstract: |
A watching brief was held over works for the alteration and extension of a community church. The observations showed that truncation of archaeologically relevant layers may have taken place, but that one deeper feature had survived. The feature located was a pit containing 12th-13th century pottery and, although the conclusions that could be drawn were limited, it did add to the knowledge of the development of the medieval town.
