Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was undertaken around the area affected by the proposed bypass. The assessment identified the nationally important Linghetah post-medieval flint mines. Although not close to the proposed route the mines were identified as possibly extending beyond Lingheath. Three schedules barrows were identified within the survey area as well as the potential site of a medieval gallows. A potential Roman settlement site was also identified. [Au(abr)] |
