Abstract: |
A watching brief was held over the excavation of a trench for an electricity cable. The area of the proposed works had earlier been identified as an area of higher archaeological potential, as it lay within a possible deserted medieval village immediately to the east of a moated manor house. The only feature identified was a substantial ditch, which did not produce any datable artefacts. The ditch may have been a boundary for the deserted village, or part of the drainage system attached to the moated manor. [Au(abr)] |
