| Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at a site which lay adjacent to a 13th century or earlier church. A deserted medieval settlement had lain nearby, and two 17th century Grade II Listed cottages lay to the south-east. During the evaluation, a layer containing post-medieval pottery was found to seal a possible drain dated to the medieval period and a rubbish pit containing 15th-18th century pottery. These deposits may have been associated with the nearby cottages. [Au(abr)] |
