Abstract: |
The evaluation established that no deposits or artefacts earlier than the later 19th century were likely to be present on the site. A water feature identified in an earlier desk-based assessment, which existed prior to 1848 and was backfilled before 1898, was recognized in the evaluation and was probably a lake within ornamental gardens associated with Wandlebank Villa.
